2. License and Use

License: GenAltText grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and revocable license to use the Plugin on a single website, in accordance with your subscription plan. Additional licenses are required for additional websites.
Permitted Use: The Plugin is intended for use as an image alt text generation tool, enhancing accessibility and SEO for your WordPress site.
Restrictions: You may not reverse-engineer, decompile, or otherwise attempt to extract the Plugin’s source code. You may not distribute, sublicense, or transfer the Plugin without prior written consent.

3. Account Registration

To access and use GenAltText, you are required to create an account, providing accurate and complete information. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account login credentials and for all activities under your account. If you suspect unauthorized access, please notify us immediately using this form.

4. Image Processing

GenAltText uses Microsoft Vision AI to process images and generate alt text descriptions. All images are temporarily processed and discarded immediately after alt text generation. We do not retain or store images on our servers.

5. Payment and Subscriptions

Billing: Subscription fees are due at the beginning of each billing cycle. If you upgrade or downgrade your subscription mid-cycle, charges will be adjusted on a prorated basis.
Refund Policy: Refunds may be issued within the first 7 days of the initial subscription if no credits are used. Cancellations after this period will take effect at the end of the current billing cycle, and no refunds will be issued.
License Management: Each license is allocated to a specific domain and can be released for reallocation. Users can manage multiple licenses and upgrade, downgrade, or cancel as needed.

6. Usage Limits and Fair Use

GenAltText may impose usage limits, including the number of images processed per month, as specified in your subscription plan. Excessive use beyond the plan’s limitations may result in restricted access or additional charges.

7. User Responsibilities

You agree to:

Use the Plugin in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
Avoid uploading any prohibited content, including images that are unlawful, offensive, or infringe on intellectual property rights.
Use the Plugin only for generating alt text for images you own or are authorized to use.

8. Intellectual Property

All intellectual property rights in the Plugin, including the software, design, and content (excluding user-generated content), are owned by or licensed to GenAltText. Unauthorized use of the Plugin or its components is prohibited.

9. Third-Party Services

GenAltText integrates with Microsoft Vision AI for image processing. We are not responsible for the services or functionality provided by third-party services. Your use of Microsoft Vision AI is subject to Microsoft’s terms and conditions, which we encourage you to review.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Plugin is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee that the Plugin will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that it will meet your specific requirements.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, GenAltText and its affiliates, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use or inability to use the Plugin, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Our liability shall not exceed the total fees you have paid for the Plugin in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

12. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Plugin if you violate these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Plugin will cease immediately, and any unpaid fees will become due. You may terminate your subscription at any time through your account settings.

13. Amendments

We may update these Terms periodically to reflect changes in our practices or applicable laws. We will notify you of any material changes, and your continued use of the Plugin after the changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Kingdom, without regard to its conflict of laws principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in the United Kingdom.
